The Recreation Department's Lifeguard Service will begin on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 28th 2022 - Labor Day Monday, Sept 5th 2022 at the following Beaches: Dawson Beach: Dawson Ave. - Prospect Fish & Game Seabluff Beach: Platt Ave. - Cove River Bridge Oak Street Beaches A & B: Oak Street Altschuler Beach: Altshuler Pier - Rock Jetty Morse Beach: Morse Ave. - Coast Guard Light

If NO Lifeguard is on Duty Swimming is at your own risk! Please be aware that there is a major Lifeguard Shortage and beaches may not have a Lifeguard on them. Please swim safe!
Beach Parking:
The City of West Haven offers FREE Beach Parking to WH Residents displaying the current up-to-date beach sticker at the following parking lots: Seabluff, Dawson Ave., South St., Altschuler Plaza, Oak St., Bradley Pt., Morse Park and Sandy Point. All Non-Residents MUST Pay the Parking Kiosk's.
Boat Ramp:
Use of the April Street Boat Ramp is also available to WH Residents that are displaying a Valid West Haven Resident Sticker. Non-Residents must Pay to Park the Parking Kiosk and display ticket.
How to get a WH Resident Beach Sticker...?
Residents needing a New Beach Sticker can obtain one at the Human Resource office in City Hall, showing a valid driver's license, vehicle registration to West Haven, CT, and also proof of WH Residency.
Non-Resident Parking:
Parking for Non-Residents is available and must Pay to Park via the Parking Kiosk at Morse Park, Sandy Pt., Bradley Point & Seabluff.

Constable Full Time Hours: 9:15am - 4pm
Non-Residents & West Haven Residents MUST Pay to Park on Palace St and Pay the Parking Meter.
How do I get a Non-Resident Beach Sticker...?
Non-Resident Stickers are also available for a $75.00 Fee and are allowed to park in any Non-Resident or Resident Parking BEACH Lot not having to pay the daily fee. To get one please go to City Hall Human Resources Office on the 2nd Fl.

Handicap Parking: Is available a various parking lots along the shore front. If you are a Non-Resident & using the Parking Kiosk to pay to park you MUST be in a Non-Resident Lot. The ONLY way for a Non-Resident Handicap Car to Park in a Resident Lot is if you have a Valid Non-Resident Parking Pass displayed on your driver side window.
