Summer Fun Girls Basketball Recreation League is a great way for female athletes interested in basketball to learn skill development while also competing in a fun recreational league.
Two Age groups :
7-10 year & 11-14
Rosters will be combined
**Must be 14 and under at the start of league to be eligible**
ALL GIRLS WHO REGISTER WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM BY PARKS & RECREATION STAFF
REGISTRATION IS DONE ONLINE ONLY
LEAGUE INFORMATION:
Our Summer Fun Girls basketball league will feature a 5 week regular season with a 10 game schedule (2 games a week) , plus a final week for Playoffs.
This league meets every Tuesday & Thursday night @ Nike Site Park (on Saw Mill Rd. next to St. Louis Church ) from July 11th- August 18th
Rosters & Team Schedules will be mailed
Jerseys will be handed out opening night
GENERAL GAME DAY INFORMATION
Games will be held at Nike Site Park .
First game will start @ 6:00
Each game will have a 5 minute warm up
Each game will have three eight minute quarters , the 2Q will be 10 minutes (clock will stop in final two minutes of 2nd & 4th quarter)
HEALTH & SAFETY
- No one will be allowed inside the courts other than players, coaches, referees, scorekeepers, and West Haven Park Rec staff. Please abide by these rules to ensure the safety & health of those participating and running the league. Parents are encouraged to come to the games and sit in the bleachers outside the fences. Please do not bring horns, or any noise making devices to games! Please keep be respectful of the coaches, and players on each team as well as the referees!
-Teams waiting for their game are not allowed to enter until the participants of the the first game have exited the court
Registration Begins April 26th for RESIDENTS & May 17th FOR NON-RESIDENTS
