This program is for West Haven children K-6th grade (5-12 yrs.)
We are offering four options for this class. Please make sure you sign up for the time slot that best fits your schedule. This class does not provide transportation and will be held at
THE LOWER Pavilion at Painter Park
Instructors from the Assembly of the Martial Arts Academy will provide a great opportunity for fun, Exercise & Discipline.
The Karate Club will meet for five sessions starting:
Monday May 1st - June 5th ** No Class May 29th**
4:00 - 4:45 PM
5:00 - 5:45 PM
The benefits of this 5 week program include:
- Learning proper Martial Arts techniques - blocks, kicks, & punches
- Develops confidence level & self control
- Develops discipline & focus
- Promotes exercise & activity
- Develops "bully -busting" skills
- Increases " stranger danger" awareness
Club will now meet rain or shine outdoors There is NO transportation provided to this program, participant must provide own transportation.
**First time students who enroll in the program will receive a white belt**
**Returning students will earn stripes on their belt**
**Children are to wear their belt to the club each week**
**PARENT/GUARDIAN NOTE: We ask for your cooperation with parent viewing of your child's karate class. We find that children initially become distracted when parents are present. We would appreciate if you could keep yourself distant from the class location.
