JR CIT Program

The Junior Counselor in Training Program (CIT) is a two week program designed to prepare qualified teens (ages 13-15) an opportunity to train for a counselor position at our summer camp for the following year.  Training will entail learning how to become a leader and role model while learning the camp structure. We will also send your teen to some of the other sites to learn more about their roles and responsibilities and all the available job opportunities.  Our program tackles group supervision, positive redirection, games, activities, first aid and safety issues. Although completing this program does not guarantee future employment, it will help you decide if working with children is something you enjoy doing. Jr CIT’s will check in with the Jr CIT director, Olivia Quagliani, for daily duties.
Jr CIT’s will gain an advantage to getting hired as a CIT the following year.
