All Parks except Bradley Point Park, Old Grove Park and the Bike Path are closed one half hour after sunset. Bradley Point Park and Old Grove Park are closed between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and Dawn except for city sponsored activities. The Bike Path from Bradley Point to West Walk will close from 12:00 am. – 6:00 a.m. Palace Street will be closed from 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. The following lots will be closed and secured (locked) one half hour after sunset: South Street Dawson Avenue Sea Bluff Morse Park The following lots will be closed and secured at 10:30 p.m. Rock Street (Conference Center parking lot) Bradley Point Oak Street Altschuler Blvd. The following parking lots will remain open 24 hours: Sandy Point- Second Avenue April Street Boat Ramp Summer hours of Dawn to 11:00 p.m. will be observed from May 1 to October 1 ONLY at Bradley Point Park, Oak Street and Rock Street, except for city sponsored activities. The Bike Path between Altschuler Blvd. and Washington Ave., by city agreement, is closed between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. all year long. Vehicles with beach permits are allowed to park in all parking lots. Non-Residents, without a parking permit, are allowed to park in the Bradley Point, Morse Park and Sandy Point parking lots. The daily fee for non-resident parking is $10.00 or $5.00 after 5:00 p.m. Residents with a permit will be allowed to park in the following parking lots: South Street Dawson Avenue Bradley Point Rock Street Oak Street Altschuler Blvd. Sandy Point April St. Boat Ramp Sea Bluff Morse Park Motorists must adhere the beach parking permit to the lower left hand corner of the windshield (driver’s side). A five hundred ($500.00) dollar cash bond surety per day will be required for use of Bradley Point Park. This bond will be submitted ten (10) days before the event and will be refunded within ten (10) days after the event. The following regulations apply to the Bike/Walk Path and park area adjacent to the Bike/ Walk Path: Vehicles, roller skates, skate boards and bikes are not allowed in areas where posted. Picnicing is allowed in areas where posted. Bicycles must travel at a reasonable speed (i.e. five (5) miles per hour and stay on the inland side of the bike/walk path, for the safety of pedestrians. Warley, Quigley and Noyes Field user fees- see attached Veterans Park opening hours for lighted facilities is as follows: Summer: May 1 – Sept. 30 8:00 a.m – 10:30 p.m. Day Light Saving April 3 – Oct. 30 9:00 a.m. – 10:00a.m. Winter Nov. – March 8:00 a.m. – ½ hour after sunset Carrigan lighted basketball court will have the same operating hours as Veterans Park. No organization will be allowed the use of any parks or shoreline area for any form of commercialism or carnivals. Any organization unrelated to the City of West Haven will be charged for special services required for an event. ****Residents will be charged a fee of $50.00 for any family related picnic. A $50.00 refundable deposit will also be required. This deposit will be returned if the area is left in an “as found” condition. *****Organizations and Private Industry will be charged a fee rather than a refundable deposit when requesting a picnic area. The fee will range from $50.00 to $300.00 depending on the number of participants.

STATEMENT OF POLICY
To protect and enhance outdoor air quality and contribute to the health and well-being of all residents and visitors to City of West Haven owned or controlled outdoor facilities:

Smoking will be prohibited at all City-owned outdoor recreational facilities, including playgrounds, athletic fields, beaches, beach parking lots and parks.

In all places that smoking is prohibited, electronic smoking is also prohibited.
