PLAYGROUND SUMMER CAMP (AGES 6-12)
Welcome to West Haven Parks & Recreation’s Summer Playground Camps!
Join us for six fun filled weeks of summer fun. Camp starts Monday, June 30th and runs until Friday, August 8th. Camp hours are 9:00-2:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Our camp is a very affordable $50.00 for the entire six weeks, however we do not meet on days it rains. Our staff has the necessary experience to ensure a safe and enjoyable camp season for your child.
This summer, we’re excited to return to the Carrigan pool and introduce various water activities at each site. Exciting trips to the beach and the Woodlawn bowling alley are also on the summer schedule, which will complement our daily activities at each site such as basketball, kickball, wiffleball, 4 square, tag, dodgeball and more. Additionally, we offer daily arts & crafts with our two dedicated Arts & Crafts coordinator’s and creative and fun games designed by our Special Activities coordinator. LOCATIONS:
Savin Rock Community School - 50 Park St. (school yard behind basketball hoops)
May V. Carrigan Intermediate - 2 Tetlow St. (rear of the building next to basketball courts)
Seth G. Haley School - 148 South St. (behind school near playscape & baseball fields)
Edith E. Mackrille Elementary School- 806 Jones Hill Rd. (located by the basketball courts)
LUNCH PROVIDED!
WHBOE Summer Nutrition will be serving boxed lunches to the campers.
Camp is PEANUT FREE ZONE so if you send your child with lunch or snacks please comply to this request.
Also please send a daily plastic water bottle with your child's name on it. WHPR will have water filling stations for the children to access and refill their water bottles throughout the day.
PICKUP/DROP OFF IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- All campers MUST be escorted to & from camp by an adult at least 18 years of age.
-Campers MAY NOT WALK to or from camp by themselves.
-If this occurs the parent/guardian will be notified, the child will not be allowed to stay at camp and will be sent home for the day.
-Playground Camp will be supervised by WHPR staff from 9:00 am - 2:00pm, Monday-Friday.
If you are running late to pick up your child at dismissal time, please notify WHPR at 203-937-3651 and we will notify the site supervisor at that location - thank you for your cooperation!
-NO ANIMALS ALLOWED AT PICKUP OR DROP OFF
